Two of Us

In 1960, John Lennon and Paul McCartney performed as a duo called 'The Nerk Twins' in Paul's cousin Bett's pub, The Fox And Hounds, Caversham, Reading. They'd been hitch-hiking back from The Isle Of Wight (hence 'Ticket To Ride') and were working behind the bar.

Later in the 60s, most of The Beatles' repertoire was written by John & Paul while they lived in Surrey - they weren't really a Liverpool band after they signed to Parlophone.

Rather fittingly, more than half a century on, Let It Beatle! are playing a pubs in Reading - The Jolly Anglers, to raise funds for The Samaritans, on 9th July.

We are:

Kristian - lead vocals & bass
Duncan - lead guitar and harmony
Tim - keyboard, rhythm guitar and harmony
Rusty (or Aleem) - drums
